William Rundle

William Earl Rundle of Hastings, NE, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 18, 2026, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

William was born on August 27, 1951, in Rolla, Missouri to Dan and Norma Jean (Horn)
Rundle. As a child, his family moved to Hastings, Nebraska where he grew up with his 8 brothers and sisters. William attended and graduated from Hastings High School in
1969. William spent many years working at Southern Power District in Hastings.
William loved spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time
spent with his grandchildren.

William was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. William was
preceded in death by his wife, Terri Rundle; son, William M. Rundle; parents; sisters, Sally Mennenga, Linda Rundle, and Mary Susan Rundle; and brother, Daniel Rundle.

William is survived by his son, John (Deanna) Rundle; grandchildren, Kyra, Harrison and
Tessa. He is also survived by his stepmother, Willa Rundle; brothers, Bruce (Jocelyn)
Rundle and Patrick (Judy) Rundle; sisters, Jennifer (Kevin) Suminski and Dorothy (Kevin)
Clarke; stepsisters, Robin Schilling and Renee Coats; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

William enjoyed life and requested no services. He would remind everyone to have fun
storming the castle and keep living the dream. He will be missed by all. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting his family with arrangements.
