Ron J. Woita

Ron Woita, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2026, doing what he loved most—watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers capture a victory in their season-opening game, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

Ron was born on February 11, 1952, in North Bend, Nebraska. He spent over twenty years working as a skilled drywaller, taking pride in a job well done.

Ron and Marguerite "Meg" J. Peters were married on November 24, 1979. Side by side, they spent 46 years building a life together and raising the family that meant everything to him.

An avid outdoorsman, Ron found great joy in mushroom hunting, hunting and fishing, appreciating the quiet beauty of nature. But above all, he was a devoted fan of Big Red football and, most importantly, a loving grandfather.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Meg; his son, Trevor Jay and his wife, Stacy; his daughter, Courtney Marie; his cherished grandchildren, Miya, Eva, and Zeke; as well as extended family and many friends who will deeply miss his steadfast presence, and devotion to his family.
