Michael J Milliken

Hastings resident Michael J. Milliken, 79, passed away Friday, January 3, 2019, at his home.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to his family. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hastings, Nebraska, are handling arrangements.

Michael was born on March 8, 1940, to Florence and Jesse Milliken in LA County, California. He graduated from Eagle Rock High School. Michael worked for the U.S. Forest Service until he joined the U.S. Army, where he became a helicopter mechanic and was transferred to Germany. After his stint in Germany Michael returned to California a Disabled Veteran. He was disabled since 1962.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Greg Milliken. He is survived by his wife, Terrala Milliken of Hastings, NE; two step-children, Leslee Wischmeier of Hastings, NE and Ryan Dirks of Palm Harbor, FL; along with four step-grandchildren.
