Marty Aspengren Obituary (1931

Hastings resident Marty Aspengren, 84, died Monday, January 11, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society Perkins Pavilion in Hastings, Nebraska. Marty was born December 27, 1931 in Lincoln, Nebraska, daughter of Vernon and Bernice (Tracy) Hoyt. She graduated high school in Council Bluffs, IA and received her BA from Parsons College in Fairfield, IA. Marty married Jerry Aspengren on August 15, 1957 in Des Moines, IA. She enjoyed music, antiques, and Friday night coffee and conversations at the Blue Moon with friends. Marty is survived by her husband Jerry of Hastings; daughter, Cynthia Aspengren of Arizona; son Eric Aspengren of Lincoln, NE; grandson, Jacob Way; along with many friends from coast to coast. She was preceded in death by her son, Barry D. Aspengren; and brother, Richard Hoyt.
