Lonnie L. Miller

Hansen resident Lonnie L. Miller, 66, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his home.

Lonnie was born January 11, 1946 in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Leo and Winona (Hesselgesser) Miller. He graduated from Giltner High School with the class of 1964. Lonnie married Mary Ryan on March 5, 1967, they later divorced. He worked for Metz Bakery in Hastings for 25 years before retiring. Lonnie enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was a member of the NRA.

Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Shelly Meahean; five grandchildren, Matthew McDonald, Michael Hinrichs, Whitney Miller, Nicholas Hinrichs, and Brandon Hurt; sister, Karen McMillan; three uncles, Harvey, Robert and Preston Hesselgesser; three aunts, Judy Crandell, Trini Achor, and Bessie Hartford; three nieces Decima, Coleman, and Willo; adopted daughter, Denna Behrends; and his beloved companion Howler.

He was preceded in death by his mother; daughter, Tammy Hinrichs; great grandson, Aaron; niece Lonnette; three aunts, Ramona Echternach, Kathryn Porter, and Juanita Smally; two uncles, Elmer Crandell, and Bud Achor.

Visitation Schedule
In honoring Lonnie's wishes to be cremated there will be no viewing or visitation.

Service
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Cemetery
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings.

Memorials
Memorials may be given to his family for a memorial to be set at a later time.
