Jayme Karash

Hastings resident Jayme LeeAnn Karash, 24, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2026, at DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 604 S Burlington Avenue.
Memorials may be directed to her family for later designation.
Jayme was born on August 5, 2001, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Michael Karash and Kimberly Quaintance. She graduated from the Hastings High School Class of 2019. Throughout her career, Jayme worked for Walmart, Graham Tire, the Grand Island Department of Corrections, and most recently the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Jayme enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, gaming, and spending time at the gun range. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her daughter and took great joy in watching her grow and reach new milestones.
Jayme is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Rose; parents, Michael Karash and Kimberly Quaintance; siblings, Kathryn Karash, Cydnee Karash, Dominic Quaintance and Reiley Daigle; grandmother, Kathy Stack; aunts and uncles, Coleena (Bob) Warnock, Aubrey (Pat) Wruk, Justine (Jason) McMurray, Kristin Hess, James Stack and Jace (Tamara) Green; nephew, Asher; along with numerous cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, LeeAnn Schutte; cousin, Sarah Warnock; and uncle, Jeremy Hess.
