Fredric Durham

Hastings resident Fred Durham, 83, passed away August 12, 2026, at Mary Lanning HealthCare.
In honoring his wishes, private family services and inurnment will be at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Hastings. There is no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting his family.
Fred was born January 6, 1943, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Esther (Moritz) Durham. He graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1961. Fred married Joyce Crow on December 18, 1965, at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Hastings. He was a corpsman in the Navy from 1963-1968 and served in Vietnam. Fred graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.A. in business. He was CEO of Santa Ana Federal Credit Union and Service Manager at Jerry Spady Chevrolet – GMC in Hastings. He and Joyce lived in California from 1965 to 1995 before returning to Hastings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Durham.
Fred is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Andrew and his wife Laura of Murfreesboro, TN, and Matthew of Hastings; and two grandchildren, Delaney and Derek Durham of Mesa, AZ.
