Hastings resident Della M. Tate, 92, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings. A Private family service will be held at a later date. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings are handling arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. Della M. Tate was born July 18, 1922 in Erlanger, Kentucky the daughter of Robert E. and Lillian (Meyer) Mayo. She graduated from Lloyd High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. Della married Floyd Tate on October 18, 1941. She lived in California, Florida and Kentucky before moving to Hastings in 1997. Della was a member of the Eastern Stars. She enjoyed golfing and caring for her children and grandchildren. Della is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lovett of Hastings; three grandchildren, Angie Scheideler (John) of Ayr, NE, Jeffrey Lovett (Sandra) of Bladen, NE, and Courtney Lovett (Shelly Schwein) of Blue Hill, NE; nine grandchildren, Cody, Colton, Claire, Cheyann, Montana, Dakota, Bristol, Katie, and Abby; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his parents; husband; son-in-law, Terry Lovett; and two brothers, Pete Mayo and Bill Mayo.
