Barbara E Bohlen

Hastings resident Barbara E. Bohlen, 51, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mary Lanning HealthCare after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Barbara was born on February 20, 1963 in Hastings, NE, to Dale and Deanna (Luksan) Graham. She grew up in Colorado and Hastings, graduating from Hastings Senior High in 1981. On August 15, 1981 she married Timothy Bohlen at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings. To this union were born three children, Misti, Drew, and Thomas Bohlen. Barbara was a strong and amazing person to all who knew her. She had a very infectious smile and laugh. She ran her own daycare from her home for 32 years. Barbara also enjoyed camping, fishing, and her Wednesday night bowling league. She will be greatly missed and was loved by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Timothy Bohlen of Hastings; children, Misti Bohlen and spouse Levi Kent of Blue Hill, NE, Drew Bohlen and Lisa Feathersone, and Tommy Bohlen and Kayla Mancini all of Hastings; six grand children, Colten, Leah, Liam, Lillyan, Laken, and Johnathan; mom, Dee Graham, in-laws, Dixie and Duan Bohlen all of Hastings; sisters, Lanette Barrett of Denver, CO and Janet Richardson of Salem, MO; brothers, Jack Graham of Salem, MO, Mike Bohlen of Lincoln, NE, and Steve Bohlen of Indianapolis IN; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family and friends.

Proceeded in death by her father, Dale Graham; brothers, Tommy and Roy Dean Graham; and sisters, Laurie and Bethann Graham.

Barbara's wishes were to not have a funeral but a celebration of life which will be held at a later date. She will be cremated and arrangements are being held by DeWitt Funeral Home.
