Angela Renee Perez-Thompson

Lincoln resident Angela Renee Perez-Thompson, 45, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at The Falls Reception Hall, 5925 Adams Street, Lincoln. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln. Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 2 at Lincoln Family Funeral Care, 5844 Fremont Street, Lincoln. Memorials may be directed to her family to be decided on at a later date. Angela Renee Perez-Thompson was born May 4, 1967 in North Platte, Nebraska, the daughter of Richard W. and Esther A. (Perez) Thompson. She grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Northeast High School with the class of 1986. Angela met Shannon Frain, fell in love, and they have been together for 27 years. She would celebrate her and Shannon's anniversary date the whole month of April every single year. She was a stay at home mom and enjoyed working at the Nebraska State fair every year when it was in Lincoln. Angela enjoyed scrap-booking, bingo, keno, and was quite the conversationalist. The thing she loved most was spending time with her family. Angela never met a stranger and if you started as a stranger you left as a friend. Angela is survived by her husband, Shannon Frain; son, Zachary Dillon Frain; mother, Esther Zanderholm and her husband Samuel; father, Richard Thompson; one sister, Melissa Stolley and her husband Lloyd; two brothers, Mikal Thompson and his significant other Lindsey Kurtzer all of Lincoln, and Manuel Chavez Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, god children, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
